Wow! I can’t believe its been so long since my last post. My intention was never to be a full time blogger, I just wanted to create some great recipes to share with everyone. My full time job (I’m a Realtor) has been keeping me super busy lately. But still, its been way too long and I hope not to fall so far behind with posts.
Anyway, summer has finally arrived in New York and today is going to be a scorcher. So, I started my day off with a cool wild blueberry smoothie bowl and I had to share it because it was too much and too filling. That’s a good thing, sharing food I mean. We tend to eat less in the summer and I think most people do too, even though there is a plenty of BBQ opportunities.
This wild blueberry smoothie bowl is creamy, cold and deliciously healthy. Made with frozen bananas and wild blueberries, macadamia nuts and hemp seeds. Wild blueberries are small, almost tiny berries with a deep, dark and rich purple color. I always pick up a bag or two at Trader Joe’s but I’ve seen them at my grocery store as well. A touch of sweetness is added with Madjool dates, I used two but you can use one and the smoothie will be less sweet but still yummy. You can use any non-dairy milk but my favorite is always almond/coconut blend. I use it for coffee, baking, cooking, just about anything.
